PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to give police protection to the life and limbs of the petitioner and his husband Ganesan S/o.Ramesh from the life threat of the third respondent herein on the basis of the petitioner representation dated 06.07.2020.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection at the hands of the third respondent herein who is none other than the mother of the petitioner herein.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner fell in love with one Ganesan and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

subsequently married him. Initially the complaint was lodged before the third respondent for "girl missing". Subsequently the petitioner was secured by the second respondent herein. Again after completion of 18 years, the petitioner eloped with said Ganesan and got married and now they are living together. At this juncture, now the third respondent is threatening the petitioner and his husband with dire consequences since, both are belonging to different community. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that till today no complaint has been received from the petitioner.

4.Considering the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to lodge a fresh complaint before the second respondent. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner from the hands of her own mother namely third respondent herein.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
