O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry to assign the number of the petitioner's petition for return of Lorry bearing Registration No. TN-32-AR0240, which was involved in Crime No.36 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.TN32-AR-0240 was seized by the respondent police in pursuant to the Crime No.36 of 2020 registered for the offence under Section 379 IPC and even till today, the said vehicle was not deposited before the Jurisdictional Court .

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the respondent is directed to deposit the vehicle bearing registration No.TN-32-AR-0240, which was seized in pursuant to the Crime No.36 of 2020, before the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry, is directed to assign the PR Number and thereafter, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Court concerned for return of vehicle in the manner known to law.

4. With the above direction this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
