PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to pay to the petitioner the arrears of salary and other benefits with interest of her husband for the period from 26.10.1979 to 06.10.1980 by representation dated 03.02.2015 which was withheld by the respondent and also to treat the above period as duty period and also direct the respondent to pay the funeral expenses of the petitioner's husband to the petitioner to a tune of Rs.25,000/-.

husband for the period from 26.10.1979 to 06.10.1980 by representation dated 03.02.2015 which was withheld by the respondent and also to treat the above period as duty period and also direct the respondent to pay the funeral expenses of the petitioner's husband to the petitioner to a tune of Rs.25,000/-.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no more and he has addressed a letter to the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner. However, the same has been returned unserved.

Recording the same, this writ petition is closed with a liberty to the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner to re-open this writ petition, in case cause survives in respect of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition. No costs.
