The first petitioner is an Union of respondents 2 and 3. The petitioners have come forward with this writ petition with the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

grievance that the earlier Insurance policy has been diluted by the subsequent one.

When the matter is taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent made a submission, which he wants this Court to record. The submission is to the effect that earlier the dependants of the employees are entitled equally out of the total amount of Rs.4,00,000/- under the Scheme. Prior to the said scheme, any one of the dependent would be given the total amount cumulatively. As the earlier scheme was introduced without proper authorisation, the subsequent one has been brought forth. However, considering the difficulties expressed, appropriate approval has been given to the earlier scheme, by which, one dependent of the family has become entitled to get Rs.4,00,000/- in a given factual situation as against the maximum of Rs.1,00,000/- each. Thus, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed since the original scheme which was challenged for a temporary period has been restored with effect from 31.03.2015 onwards. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. 3.

Recording the said statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
