Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant patta for the land comprised in S.No.278/1[part], New No.329/7 & 8, at No.126, Nayakan Kuppam Village, Kancheepuram District to an extent of 22 cents by consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.10.2017. This writ petition is filed to grant patta to the petitioner's land to an extent of 22 cents based on the representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2017.
2. The respondent has considered the representation of the petitioner, made an enquiry and found that the petitioner has left the village 25 years ago. The subject land is not in a possession of the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for patta. The revenue Inspector of Thenneri Village has communicated his report to the Tahsildar, Walajabad and the same is produced before this Court by the learned Government Advocate representing for the State.
3. In view of the above order passed by the respondent, the petitioner shall work out his remedy in accordance with law. Hence, nothing survives in this writ petition and the same is disposed of. No costs.
