PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent herein to permit the petitioner to participate in the Tentative counselling schedule for MBBS/BDS 2017-2018 for admission of Government Quota or Management Quota under the All India Quota. O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is seeking for a direction to the 3rd respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the tentative counselling scheduled for admission to MBBS/BDS 2017-2018 under Government Quota or Management Quota in the All India Quota.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned standing counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 & 3.

3. Admittedly, the counselling followed by selection for admission to the MBBS/BDS course for the academic year 2017-2018 is already over. It is also an admitted fact that the last date for admission is also already over by 04.09.2017. When such being the position, I do not think that the petitioner is entitled to any relief in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
