O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to grant license to the petitioner's stockyard at No.17, Survey No.47/1A, 200 Feet Road to Tekkalur, Amirthapuram, Thiruthani Taluk, Thiruvallur District within the stipulated time. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Prakash, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to pass revision orders on the documents and observations made by the petitioner in the appeal. The Commissioner of Geology and Mining, while disposing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the appeal on 30.12.2015, directed the District Collector to consider and pass revision orders based on the documents and observations made by the petitioner in the appeal. The learned senior counsel submitted that till date, the respondent has not passed any orders as per the directions of the Commissioner of Geology and Mining. Further, the learned senior counsel submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to pass revision orders within a stipulated time.

3.Mr.M.S.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to pass revision orders within a time frame in accordance with law.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to pass revision orders as per the directions of the Commissioner of Geology and Mining dated 30.12.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
