ORDER

Considering the limited scope of the prayer, by consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he is a Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering (DME). In the year, 1983 he was appointed as Draughtsman (Mechanical) in the 4th respondent Sugar Mills through Employment Exchange and from 14.12.1988 onwards, he has been looking after the duties of the Assistant Engineer. According to the petitioner, he is eligible for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer w.e.f. 14.12.1988. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that his experience has not been looked into with proper merit for promotion as Deputy Engineer & Chief Engineer. In this regard, he has also made a representation to the 4th respondent mill to absorb him as Asst. Engineer with effect from 14.12.1998 and to promote him as Chief Engineer from 01.02.2011 retrospectively. Hence, he has come forward with this writ petition.

3. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side and taking into consideration of the fact that the representation of the petitioner is pending with the 4th respondent, without going into the merits of the case, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.04.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass orders thereon within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
