This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the case based on the complaint dated 06.07.2016 under Section 420 IPC.

2. No representation for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and perused the records.

3. On a reading of the complaint dated 06.07.2016 that is said to have been given by the petitioner, it is seen that one Shanmugapriya and Krishnamurthy had borrowed Rs.3,20,000/- on 13.07.2010 from the petitioner at his residence in Chengalpat and that they have not returned the amount till date.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a petition enquiry was conducted and the same was closed on 22.07.2016. A copy of the closure report has been produced before the Court. For a time barred debt, the petitioner has preferred a complaint in 2016. police to register an FIR. Accordingly, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
