Respondent(s) PRAYER: This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3 and 4 respondents authorities to pay the pensionary benefits of deceased Veerasamy to the petitioner by disposing of petitioner's representation dated 31.1.2025 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction against the third and fourth respondents to pay necessary pensionary benefits of the deceased husband of the petitioner, Veerasamy by disposing of the representation dated 31.01.2025.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been contended that the husband of the petitioner, Veerasamy had worked in the Transport Department as a Ticket Checker and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. He died on 02.05.2024. The petitioner as his widow is entitled to get appropriate pension. It had been stated that the service records of the husband discloses that the petitioner is the wife. Therefore, the petitioner claims that the pensionary benefits must be disbursed to the petitioner herein. 3.A direction is given to the third and fourth respondents to examine the records of the late husband of the petitioner, Veerasamy who worked with employee identification No.FC 0126 as Ticket Checker and examine the right of

the petitioner to get family pension and pass appropriate orders to that effect within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
