ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondent to produce body and person of the petitioner's son A.Ajith Kumar, son of Ashokan, aged about 22 years, before this Court and set him at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed by the father of the detenu.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. We have perused the status report filed by the respondent. It reveals the investigation done thus far. It appears that the detenu is yet to be secured though efforts have been made. He is missing from 21.05.2020 onwards. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Considering the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Chengelpet District. As and when the detenu is secured, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate. If no further progress is made, liberty is given to the petitioner to approach this Court for further direction.
