Shri S. Veeraraghavan v. Special Tahsildar (La)

C.M.A.No.1716 of 2016 and CMP.No.12978 of 2016 T.MATHIVANAN,J., Questioning the quantum, this civil miscellaneous appeal has been filed under section 173 of Motor Vehicles Act 1988 by the appellant/Transport Corporation.

2. There shall be an order of interim stay of all further proceedings in MCOP No.641 of 2013 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, (IV Small Causes Court) Chennai, on condition that the appellant/Transport Corporation deposits, the entire award amount along with accrued interest @ 7.5% per annum and costs, less the amount already deposited, if any, to the credit of the above said MCOP, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the order of stay granted, would stand vacated without any reference to this Court.
