Petitioner herein is seeking to quash the prosecution against him, caused by the Sub-Registrar, on the ground that the petitioner has compromised with Velayutham (LW2). 2.

This Court was not inclined to quash the proceedings in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in State of M.P. v. Manish (2015 (3) MWN (Cr.) 1 (SC)), wherein the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that the cases involving serious offences, which have impact on the public, should not be quashed even if the parties arrive at compromise. 3.

At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission to withdraw this petition and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

has also made an endorsement to that effect. Consequently, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
