ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the Respondent to consider the representation dated 02.02.2026 and sanction the education loan.

3. According to the petitioner, she secured admission to 1st year Bachelor of Optometry at the School of Allied Health Science, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (Deemed University). Owing to difficulty in remitting tuition fee, she applied for educational loan along with the required documents,

to the respondent bank. However, the said application was not processed. Hence, she made a representation dated 02.02.2026 to the respondent bank requesting to sanction educational loan. Finding no response on the same, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner submitted all the required documents along with the application seeking education loan to her daughter, the respondent bank did not process the same, without any reason and hence, appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent bank to consider the petitioner's representation in this regard.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

6. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, more particularly that the petitioner submitted the application to the respondent bank for educational loan, and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this court directs the respondent bank to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
