ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 4 to 6 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2023 under Section 26(2) of Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2. Learned State Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. Since the petitioner has come with a limited prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, we direct the first respondent / District Collector, Thiruvarur District and the fourth respondent / The Divisional Engineer (Highways), Thiruvarur to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2023 on merits and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. It is made clear that since the petitioner has built a pucca house using the funds granted under Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, status quo as on today shall be maintained by the parties.
