ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give permission to conduct the dance programme and Adal Padal in the

event of Sri Mariamman Koil Thiruvizha on 18.05.2022, 6.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m at Sri Mariamman Koil, Kattumailur Colony, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District - 606 304.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner filed the present Writ Petition seeking permission to conduct dance programme and Adal Padal in the event of Sri Mariamman Koil Thiruvizha on 18.05.2022, 6.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m at Sri Mariamman Koil, Kattumailur Colony, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District - 606 304. Though the petitioner has stated that he sent a representation to the respondents on 19.04.2022 and the track consignment shows that the item delivered on 20.04.2022, the petitioner has not produced any acknowledgment card to show that he served letter to the respondents to grant permission or to consider his representation.

4.In view of the above, since the festival is scheduled to be held on 18.05.2022, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
