This Civil Revision Petition has been filed for a direction to dispose the I.A.No.3 of 2024 in H.M.O.P.No.141 of 2019 pending on the file of the Principal Sub Court at Virudhachalam, expeditiously within the time Page 1 / 4
stipulated by this Court.
2. The petitioner had filed the Original Petition for divorce under section 13[1] [i-a] of Hindu Marriage Act. When the petition was posted for hearing, as the petitioner was not present on 28.10.2021, the Original Petition has been dismissed for default. Therefore, the petitioner filed an application in I.A.No3 of 2024 to restore the Original petition which has been dismissed for default on 28.10.2021. Though the application has been filed in the year 2024, the same is pending at the request of the respondent. Hence, the present revision has been filed seeking speedy disposal of the above application within the time fixed by this Court.
3. Considering the limited prayer sought for in this revision petition, without going into merits of the case, the learned Principal Sub Judge, Virudhachalam is directed to dispose of the application in I.A.No.3 of 2024 in HMOP.No.141 of 2019 expeditiously, within a period of 6 months from the Page 2 / 4
date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
4. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
