ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 praying to direct the first respondent to register the complaint dated 7.10.2014.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner is not present.

3. It is averred in the petition that the petitioner, as defacto complainant, has given a complaint dated 7.10.2014 to the first respondent, viz., Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Perambalur District and the same has not been registered, even though cognizable offences are made out. Under such circumstances, present petition has been filed for getting the relief sought therein.

4. Considering the nature of relief sought in the petition and also the nature of allegations made in the complaint dated 7.10.2014, the following direction can be given to the first respondent:

"In fine, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The first respondent is strictly directed to look into the complaint dated 7.10.2014 and if any cognizable offences are made out, further directed to take appropriate steps as per law."
