Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's complaints dated 2.3.2025 and 3.3.2025 consequently direct the second respondent to take necessary action against the third respondent to give protection to the pathway in front of petitioner's property bearing Plot NO.2, Block No.49. Special Government Pleader For R2 : Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's complaints dated 02.03.2025 and 03.03.2025 and consequently direct the second respondent to take necessary action against the third respondent to give protection to the pathway in front of petitioner's property bearing Plot NO.2, Block No.49. Ward -D, Survey Nos.49/4,10,14, Jameen Pallavaram, Varadhan Nagar 1 Street. Pallavaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. Heard and perused the materials available on record.

3. A perusal of the complaint lodged by the petitioner revealed that the petitioner sought for police protection to his pathway. It is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent, in respect of using the pathway. The police protection can be granted only to the life and limb of a person. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have approached the civil Court for appropriate relief.
