[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his application dated 07.09.2021 vide PR.No.1214002 for enrolling him as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

It is the case of the petitioner that after completion of his under graduation in the year 2014, he joined SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Faculty of Law) and completed the same in the year 2021. Thereafter, the petitioner made application dated 07.09.2021 in PR.No.1214002 for enrolling him as an Advocate in the Bar Council of 2/5

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, but, till date his name was not included in the enrolment list due to pendency of a criminal case in Crime No.47 of 2016. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition, stating that he has not committed any offence and he has been falsely implicated in the criminal case and hence, appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent authorities to consider his application seeking enrolment and pass appropriate orders, on merits. 3.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 4.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made herein, without expressing any opinion on the claim of the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent authorities to pass appropriate orders, on the petitioner's application dated 07.09.2021 in PR.No.1214002, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 3/5
