C O M M O N O R D E R The relief sought for in these writ petitions is for a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to fix the seniority of the writ petitioner on par with his juniors/batchmates, who got directly recruited as Assistant Commercial Tax Officer(ACTO) and now holding the post of Deputy Commercial Tax Officer(DCTO) from the year 2012 and for consequential benefits. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners restricted the prayer and submits that the writ petitioners have made a representation to the respondent on 20th July, 2017 and it is suffice if a direction is issued to consider the representations.

2. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the writ petitioners and without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the writ petitioners on 20th July 2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
