2.
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the 62nd year ''Thai Poosam Theppa Uthsavam''
at Arulmigu Theyagarajaswamy Thirukkoil, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-19 on 11.02.2017 by accepting his
donation and issue a receipt for the same.
3.
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.
Though very many contentions have been raised in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, when the matter is called, the learned Counsel for the petitioner has produced a letter of the 2nd respondent rejecting his request to conduct ''Thai Poosam Theppa Uthsavam'' at Arulmigu Theyagarajaswamy Thirukkoil, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-19 on 11.02.2017 by accepting his donation.
5.
A perusal of the said rejection order in Na.Ka.No.80/2017 dated 04.02.2017 of the 2nd respondent discloses that ''Thai Poosam Theppa Uthsavam'' at Arulmigu Theyagarajaswamy Thirukkoil, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-19 on 11.02.2017 is proposed to be conducted by the said temple itself and therefore they returned the cheque sent by the petitioner in this regard.
5.
In view of the above, this Court is of the view that nothing survives in the writ petition and therefore, the same is closed. No costs.
