PRAYER : Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petition dated 24.08.2015, on the file of 1st respondent, that concerns the misuse of Panchayat funds.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petition dated 24.08.2015.

3. The petitioner, claiming to be the President of Tamil Nadu Agriculturalist Society, Thandarai Village, would state that the funds allotted for laying the road was not properly utilised. Therefore, he made a representation to the first respondent dated 24.08.2015. Since no order has been passed on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the said representation, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

Heard the submissions of Ms.V.Srimathi learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.R.Rajendra Narasimhan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the second respondent.

5. This Court, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
