Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the III Additional Family Court Judge, Chennai to dispose off the O.P.188 of 2014 within a specific time frame that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner in O.P.188 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned III Additional Family Court Judge, Chennai has preferred this revision for earlier disposal of the petition in O.P.188 of 2014. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and

the learned counsel appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent wife appeared through her counsel and sought time to file counter. She further submitted that though they appeared for counselling, the matter was not settled. Thereafter, since the respondent was absent for several hearings, she was set exparte on 27.03.2015 and exparte evidence has been posted on 21.05.2015. Thereafter, she filed I.A.No.2189 of 2015 for setting aside the exparte order and it was allowed on 28.10.2015 and the O.P. was posted for the appearance of the respondent on 11.01.2016. Now, the petitioner has come with this petition for the earlier disposal of the petition in O.P.188 of 2014. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that she has filed transfer petition seeking transfer of the O.P.188 of 2014.

5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this revision, this Court feels it a fit case for granting a direction to dispose of the O.P.188 of 2014. Hence, the learned III Additional Family Court

Judge, Chennai is directed to dispose of the O.P.188 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The filing of the transfer petition will in no way affect the disposal of this case. 6.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
