C.M.P.Nos.7968 & 7989 of 2022 in OSA.SR.Nos.44117 & 44118 of 2022 G.R.SWAMINATHAN,J and SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the petitioner submits that 637 acres of land spread over five districts are sought to be sold through public auction pursuant to the impugned order passed in C.S.No. 256 of 2018. According to him, the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961 prima facie get attracted. He would further state that if the impugned sale process is allowed to go on, third party interest would be created and interested parties may eventually suffer.

2. We are satisfied with the reasons set out in the affidavits filed in support of the miscellaneous petitions.

3. Leave granted. Registry is directed to number the appeals and list them next week.
