This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction directing the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner to clear and conduct survey of lands in Old Survey No.55/1, Re-Survey No.31/2, measuring 3.00 acres, in Old Survey No.69, Re-Survey No.5, measuring 0.40 acres in lands in Old Survey No.54/6, Re-Survey No.33/1, measuring 0.44 acres, 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

total lands measuring 3.84 acres, situate in Pattanur Village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District as per the representation dated 27.09.2020.

2. It is seen that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner and the 3rd respondent herein in respect of the above said lands. In this regard, the petitioner had not filed any suit as against the 3rd respondent till today. Under these circumstances, the petitioner sought for police protection to survey the said lands. The learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that the petitioner had appraoched the revenue authority to survey the land. Therefore, if the revenue officials appointed any surveyor to survey the lands, the said Surveyor can very well seek police protection, if he found any hindrance or disturbance from the counter party. Therefore, this petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
