O R D E R

This criminal original petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of 110 Cr.P.C. proceedings.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though there have been previous cases against the petitioner, he had co-operated for the investigation, participated in the trial and had been acquitted in most of the cases. According to him, of late, he has not been involved in any case. However, now, the respondent Police, under the guise of 110 Cr.P.C. proceedings, is harassing and threatening the petitioner under one pretext or the other. Hence, the present petition.

Heard the submissions on either side and perused the materials on record.

The petitioner is a history sheeter with H.S. NO. 42 of 2025. Being a history sheeter, as the General Elections are around the corner, to maintain peace, the respondent Police is duty bound to enquire and find out 2\4

the whereabouts and movements of the petitioner, which cannot be termed as harassment.
