O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to extend the time granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.8915 of 2020, dated 18.06.2020, by another two weeks.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the order was granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.8915 of 2020, dated 18.06.2020, with a direction to the petitioner to surrender before the learned Magistrate Court within a period of two weeks, the order was uploaded in the web only on 04.07.2020 and the petitioner has surrendered before the learned Magistrate on 04.07.2020. However, the learned Magistrate stated that it is beyond time limit and had returned the surrender petition. Thereby, the present petition has been filed seeking for extension of time. He would further submit that the petitioner has deposited a sum of Rs.11,000/- (Rupees Eleven Thousand Only) as non refundable deposit to the credit of the Tamil Nadu Advocate Clerk Association, Madras High Court, Chennai.

In view of the above submissions, the time granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.8915 of 2020, dated 18.06.2020, is extended further for a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
