Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents, to dispose of the representation dated 29.02.2024, for taking linear measurement and surveying the land, pending before the 1st and 2nd respondents, without any action and the same may be disposed of, within a time frame.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Kempraj, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mr.Habeeb Rahman, learned Government Advocate for the first respondent; and, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 2 and 3.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed an application for measurement and had paid the fees, however, the fourth respondent obstructed to the

measurement.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the measurement was conducted on 10.1.2024.

4. The government authorities shall give the copies of the measurement map and report to the petitioner within one month from today and in case the petitioner is aggrieved, then the petitioner has a remedy to file an appeal against the same. The petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate steps in that regard. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
