Petitioner seeks transfer of investigation in case registered in Crime No.923/2011 on the file of second respondent.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Advocate [Crl.side].

3. Petitioner preferred a complaint before the second respondent informing that 70 sovereigns of jewels were stolen from a marriage hall and from quarters reserved for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

bridegroom on 26.05.2011. Complaining against lack of progress in the investigation, petitioner moved Crl.O.P.No.6841 of 2012 wherein under orders dated 26.04.2012, this Court was pleased to issue a direction to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, to nominate an officer not below the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police to take up investigation and complete the same expeditiously. In compliance with such order, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime Central Sub Division, Coimbatore City, has been put in charge of the investigation. He has filed a status report dated 16.02.2015 which shows not much progress. It is seen that even up to date there is no further progress. In the circumstances, this Court is inclined to transfer the investigation in Crime No.923 of 2011.

The Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The case registered in Crime No.923/2011 on the file of second respondent is transferred to the file of Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Coimbatore, for further investigation. Sd/- Asst.Registrar /true copy/ Sub Asst. Registrar bri/gm To
