This Original Petition has been filed taking advantage of Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the debts in the name of Ms.Alamelu, the late sister of the petitioner, who died intestate on 19.11.2006. The family death benefits and other benefits have accrued, since she was working in the Educational Department and they are payable by the District Educational Officer, Chennai North. The details have been given in the schedule. 2.After following due procedure, the petitioner was invited to tender evidence. Accordingly, he examined himself as PW-1 and he marked the commutation payment order dated 18.10.2002 as Ex.P1. The letter dated 04.12.2002 addressed to the Divisional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai was marked as Ex.P2. The original affidavit and Death Certificate of the deceased were marked as Exs.P3 and P4. The Death Certificate of the father of the petitioner was marked as Ex.P6. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

smv 3.In view of the evidence adduced, this Original Petition stands allowed. The Succession Certificate may be issued in favour of the petitioner in accordance with the rules.
