Respondent Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider, process and pass orders on the application, dated 10.06.2015, submitted by the petitioner for grant of No Objection Certificate, for starting the M.Ed. (Master of Education) course from the current academic year on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that the petitioner-trust is running a B.Ed. College from the academic year 2008-2009, for which necessary approval and recognition have been accorded by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the respondent and, now, it intends to start a new course, namely, M.Ed. (Master of Education), for which it submitted an application to National Council for Teacher Education, which, in turn, is insisting on the petitioner to get No Objection Certificate from the State Government for the purpose of granting recognition. Accordingly, on 10.06.2015, the petitioner submitted an application to the respondent in person, but, till-date, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

he has not been favoured with any response and, hence, he prays for appropriate direction to the respondent to consider and process the application.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.U.Venkatesan, learned standing counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 10.06.2015, on merits and in acccordance with law, on or before 28.06.2015, and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner.
