Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, comprised in Survey No.205/2, 205/5, 206/2, 207/1, he purchased the same through registered sale deed dated 14.06.1971 in Doc.No.121/1971 at SRO, Mettupalayam, for an extent of Acre 1.89 cents and a sale deed dated 27.02.1978 in Doc.No.296/1978 at SRO, Mettupalayam, for an extent of acre 1.25 cent in the above said survey number. ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to take action to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 29.02.2024 submitted with regard to survey the Agriculture land properties situated at Illuppanatham Village, Old Avinashi Taluk, at present Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioners is that they had purchased the subject property by way sale deeds of the year 1971 and 1978 and they are in possession and enjoyment of the property ever since the date of purchase. The grievance of the petitioner is that though they have given a representation to the respondents on 29.02.2024 to survey their lands by metes and bounds, the respondents have not taken any action to survey their lands. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 29.02.2024 to survey the land of the petitioners after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons and within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
