This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner pursuant to the charge memo issued by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.12763/Ni2/1/2022 dated 16.12.2022 and pass final orders within a time limit to be fixed by this Court and consequently revoke the diversion of duty order to Government Hospital, Mamallapuram.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the charge memorandum was issued to the petitioner on 16.12.2022 under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, enquiry was completed and report was also submitted as early as on 31.08.2023. Thereafter, no further action has been proceeded.
3. Mr. Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice on behalf of the respondents submitted that if reasonable time is granted the Disciplinary Proceedings would be completed.
4. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following
terms.
(i). The respondents are directed to complete the Disciplinary Proceedings by passing final order pursuant to the charge memorandum dated 16.12.2022 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
(ii) No costs.
