This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 07.04.2016 in accordance with law.

2. No representation for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and perused the records.

3. It is seen that the petitioner and a few others have sent an Advocate notice dated 07.04.2016, based on which thye wanted an FIR to be registered. U/s 154 Cr.P.C., a person should go and lodge a complaint in person. An Advocate's notice cannot be a basis for registering an FIR. It is the grievance of the petitioner that when the parties went to the police station, they did not register the FIR and therefore, the parties were forced to issue an Advocate notice.

4. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint to the first respondent and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired in accordance with law.
