This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying for a direction to the respondent to register the FIR against the accused persons, based on the complaint dated 25.06.2015 for the offences committed by the said persons.

2. Heard Mr.E.D.Sethupathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It appears that the petitioner has given a sum of Rs.3,84,000/-to the opposite party for remitting the municipal tax and also to pay the Revenue Inspector. The opposite party has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

given receipt only for a sum of Rs.25,560/- and has not accounted for the balance money. On a reading of the complaint, it is seen that the amount has been given for illegal purposes and therefore, no positive direction can be granted to the respondent police to register an FIR.
