Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the Respondents 2 to 4 to consider the Petitioners representation dated 15.02.2024 and remove the encroachment situate in S.No. 171/2, Adaiyur Village, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District, measuring about 4 ares.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.R.Dhalapathy Vignesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.M.Habeen Rahman, learned counsel for respondent 4.

2. Encroachment is alleged on the Government land. On the said land, a temple is also constructed. It is alleged that the respondents 5 to 8 have encroached upon the land in S.No.171/2.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that survey would be conducted within a period of six months and if upon survey, encroachment is found, then steps, in accordance with law, would be undertaken.

4. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
