ORDER

With the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner Federation and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner claims to be the Secretary of the petitioner Association and according to him the respondents are implementing various welfare schemes of Central as well as State Governments and

one such scheme is payment of old age pension to the persons, who had completed 60 years of age. It is the specific case of the petitioner that the members of the petitioner association, who are numbering 38, were being paid old age pension and all of a sudden it has been stopped. The petitioner in this regard submitted a representation dated 27.11.2014 to respondents 1 to 3 praying for conducting enquiry and to resume payment of old age pension. Though the representations were acknowledged on 28.11.2014, the petitioner Association has not been favoured with any response, Hence, they came forward with the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief before this Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the representation made by the petitioner, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 28.11.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the authorised representative of the petitioner, and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
