ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 3rd respondent to issue patta in respect of the land situated in S.Nos.130/3A, 130/3B and 130/3C, Agrapalayam Village, Arni Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District to the extent of 1.52 acres in the petitioners' name by taking note of the communication sent by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent in Letter No.R3/2910039/2022 dated 03.08.2022.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. On perusal of the records, this Court is of the view that such a direction cannot be issued for the simple reason that the property is a temple property in respect of which proceedings have already reached finality before the Settlement Tahsildar in S.R.No.990 to 992/AEN/MMIA/63 dated 28.03.1968. When the property is a temple property and patta was granted in respect of the Perumal Temple, as a matter of right, the petitioners cannot seek such a direction, unless the petitioners establishes their right in a civil court.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 2/4
