This petition has been filed to issue suitable orders directing the respondent, the Inspector of Police, Thiruvallur, to register the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 17.07.2015.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. It is seen that on 01.06.2015, in a funeral procession, there was quarrel between two groups, in which the brothers of this petitioner were injured and in connection with this, both parties lodged complaints and petition enquiries were conducted in CSR Nos.174 and 175 of 2015 and after preliminary enquiries, the police have registered a case in Cr.No.225 of 2015 under Section 160 IPC against the brothers of the petitioner and the opposite party. Thereafter, this petitioner has sent a representation dated 17.07.2015 addressed to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of the State and the District Superintendent of Police alleging that, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
on 01.06.2015 after the clash, when this petitioner went to the Police Station, he was abused by one Suresh.
4. In the considered opinion of this Court, a complaint of this nature cannot be lodged to the Hon'ble Chief Minister and that apart, the complaint also does not disclose commission of cognizable offence, for the police to register an FIR. Since already a case in Cr.No.225 of 2015 has been registered, no further direction need to be given to the police to register a fresh case.
In the result, this petition is devoid of merits and the same is closed.
