O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner and not to disturb him based on the alleged complaint lodged by Jayasree Raghavan pending before the respondent Police.

2. Heard Mr.R.Krishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is not cooperating with the enquiry and hence the petition enquiry is pending.

4. However, taking note of the fact that the petition enquiry is now pending, the respondent Police is directed to issue notice to the parties and conduct enquiry as directed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others [2014 (2) SCC (1)]. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is bound to register the FIR otherwise they may close the

complaint. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of seven days from today.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
