Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of 2nd respondent comprised in order dated 29.03.2022 in Na.Ka.No.482/2021 A5, quash the same as arbitrary, illegal, unconstitutional.

O R D E R

The petitioner, challenging the impugned order of the District Collector Mayiladuthurai District in Na.Ka.No.482/2021/A5 dated 29.03.2022, whereby he has cancelled the appointments made by the Tahsildars of respective jurisdictional Taluks appointing the petitioners as Village Assistants, have filed the present writ petitions.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in similar matters in W.P.Nos.9058 of 2022 etc. batch, this Court has allowed the said writ petitions, vide order dated 14.07.2022 and directed reinstatement of the petitioners therein in the respective Taluks and therefore, prays for similar relief.

3. Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has not disputed the said fact.

4. This Court, in similar batch of this Writ Petitions in W.P.Nos.9058

of 2022 etc., has allowed the said writ petitions vide order dated 14.07.2022, with the following directions:

"16. In view of the reasons assigned above, these Writ Petitions stands allowed and the impugned order of the second respondent / District Collector, Mayiladuthurai District in Na.Ka.No.482/2021/A5 dated 29.03.2022 is set aside. The respondents are directed to reinstate the petitioners into service in their respective Taluks forthwith and liberty is granted to the second respondent/District Collector to conduct a detailed enquiry on the respective Tahsildars for the aforesaid allegation and to take appropriate decision in accordance with law within the period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed."

5. In the light of the above, the present writ petition also stands allowed on the above lines. No costs.
