Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records of the third respondent issued vide letter No.U PO / E and Para / Kallikuppam / KO. Valakku / A. En 355 dated 01.02.2024 and quash the same and direct the third respondent to restore the service connection to the petitioner's property bearing Plot No 45 Pasumpon Nagar, Murugambedu Road, Kallikkuppam, Chennai 600 053.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the letter issued by the third respondent vide letter No.U PO / E and Para / Kallikuppam / KO. Valakku / A. En 355 dated 01.02.2024, and quash the same and direct the third respondent to restore the service connection to the petitioner's property bearing Plot No. 45 Pasumpon Nagar, Murugambedu Road, Kallikkuppam, Chennai 600 053.

2. Pursuant to the interim order passed by this Court on 08.04.2024, the Revenue Tahsildar conducted an enquiry and found that the subject property is a patta land and to that effect, a report has been filed.

3. The Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, gave instructions stating that the Revenue Tahsildar conducted a field inspection and found that the petitioner is in possession of patta land. Thus, there is no impediment for restoring electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises.

4. In view of the facts and circumstances, the respondents are directed to restore the electricity service connection in the premises of the petitioner within a period of two days.

5. With these directions, the Writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (sha) 29.04.2024 Index : Yes Speaking Order 4/6
