ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 12.08.2024.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition as well as the representation, it appears that the petitioner prays for preferential allotment under the quota for repatriates from Sri Lanka/Myanmar.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that there is no vacancy in Kizhkathirpur tenements and there are only vacancies in Salamangalam in Padappai Taluk. It may be so, but it is for the respondent to consider the representation in accordance with the law. If any other tenement is to be offered along with the conditions as per the rules of the respondent, they can offer it to the petitioner as well. If the petitioner is offered in writing, thereafter the petitioner can take a call.

4. In view thereof, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 12.08.2024 in accordance with the law and pass orders thereon. If they are willing to accommodate the petitioners in any other tenement, they can inform the petitioners in writing, with such conditions as may apply. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order.
