Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction and disburse the Gratuity, Leave Encashment Salary and other monetary benefits payable to me pursuant to the date of his retirement on 30.04.2017 in the light of the judgment dated 31.07.2019 passed in W.A.(MD)No.105 of 2019 [The Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Chennai and Others v. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction and disburse the Gratuity, Leave Encashment Salary and other monetary benefits payable to me pursuant to the date of his retirement on 30.04.2017 in the light of the judgment dated 31.07.2019 passed in W.A.(MD)No.105 of 2019 [The Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Chennai and Others v. K.Palaniyandi] by the Division Bench of this Court within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Today when the matter is called, Mr.T.Chezhian, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has produced a proceedings of the Special Tahsildar (Temple Lands), Chidambaram in Ref.A/13/2018 dated 23.06.2022, informing that the claim of the petitioner for settlement of retiral benefits has been sanctioned. The said copy of the proceedings is taken on file and recorded.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed the said fact.

4. Recording the said submission, this Court directs the respondents to settle the retirement benefits to the petitioner, in the light of the above said proceedings dated 23.06.2022, without any further delay, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
