Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the third respondent, their officials, servants from in any manner interfering with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop at B67, GST Main Road, Pallavaram, Chennai - 600 043, by selling tea, coffee and other food items, till the township vending committee decides as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking mandamus, forbearing the third respondent, their officials, servants from in any manner interfering with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop at B67, GST Main Road, Pallavaram, Chennai - 600 043, by selling tea, coffee and other food items, till the township https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

vending committee decides as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act.

2. Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent submitted that the Pallavaram Municipality would not come under the jurisdiction of Chennai Corporation and the third respondent has not interfered with the business activity of the petitioner.

3. In view of the above submission, the Writ Petition is closed and the petitioner shall not use this order for the action to be initiated by the Pallavaram Municipality. There is no order as to costs.
