ORDER
The grievance of the petitioners, who are working as Headmasters in the Panchayat Union Middle School, is that their juniors are paid more and hence they have sent representations dated 19-08-2012 and 28-09-2013 respectively, before the first respondent to rectify the pay anomalies in accordance with Rule 4
(3) of the Tamil Nadu Revised scales of Pay Rules 1989 as clarified in G.O.Ms.No.57 Finance (Pay Cell -II) Department dated 28-011991 and also in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.162 Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 13-04-1998 and also seeking to step up the pay of the petitioners on par with their juniors. Since the representations have not been considered, they have come forward with these writ petitions.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted at the time of hearing of the writ petitions that a direction may be issued to the first respondent to dispose of the abovesaid representations of the petitioners within a time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the narrow prayer made, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representations dated 19-08-2012 and 28-09-2013 respectively, in the light of Rule 4(3) of the Tamil Nadu Revised scales of Pay Rules 1989 as clarified in G.O.Ms.No.57, Finance (Pay Cell -II) Department, dated 28-01-1991 and also in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.162 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 13-04-1998, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
