The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the respondent Bank to grant the Educational Term Loan, based on her application dated 25.12.2016 with ID No.80045, for her higher studies, namely., B.E., Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering Course.

Mr.M.R.Jothimanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondent Bank, in fact, approved the loan application and found her prima facie eligible for such loan, as could be seen from the e-mail communication dated 17.05.2017 issued and received at 12.19 p.m. He further submitted that having issued such communication as stated supra, the respondent Bank within two minutes issued another communication rejecting the application of the petitioner without assigning any reason. Therefore, he submitted that the respondent Bank has to consider the application of the petitioner and grant educational loan as she is having all the requisite documents in support of her claim to be furnished https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
before the respondent Bank.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Bank, based on instruction, submitted that the petitioner has to produce certain relevant documents, namely, KYC, Pan Card and Address Proof for considering her application and if those documents are furnished, the respondent Bank will consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of educational loan.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the petitioner to approach the respondent Bank with those relevant documents within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On getting such documents as referred supra, the respondent Bank will consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders granting her the educational loan within a period of two weeks thereafter. No costs.
