O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.06.2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 364 & 394 of IPC in Crime No.986 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that the petitioners along with other accused, kidnapped the son of the defacto complainant and demanded ransom for his release. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He would submit that the petitioners are only drivers of the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN 30 AV 1661 and the car was owned by the other accused and that they petitioners are no way connected with the alleged offence. He further submitted that the petitioners have been suffering incarceration from 14.06.2020 and prays for grant of bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioners along with other accused, kidnapped the son of the defacto complainant and demanded ransom. He would further submit that the investigation is still pending and that the petitioners were arrested very recently on 14.06.2020. Hence, he opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioners.

5. Taking into account the nature of offence and the fact that the petitioners were arrested recently and the investigation is at the preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to petitioners.
