This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Mr.R.Premchander, learned counsel for the appellant. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties voluntarily have come to the settlement before the Lok Adalat as follows :

(i) As against the award amount of Rs.14,14,600/- with further interest, the parties have agreed to settle for a sum of Rs.10,50,000/- as full quit; (ii) Already, a sum of Rs.9,91,374/- has been deposited to the credit of M.C.O.P and the balance amount will be deposited within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; (iii) Upon such deposit, the claimants are entitled to withdraw the entire sum without any formal application and only upon verification of the identity.
